France: Strikes disrupt travel

Updated 01 March 2019, 11:00 Melbourne local time

Travel by Rail

No planned strikes are upcoming.

As soon as we become aware of any upcoming strikes, all confirmed bookings through Rome2rio will receive a notification by email or SMS advising of potential delays and cancellations to your services. Unfortunately, since the strikes are often last minute, we don’t always know when and where they’re going to take place. If you are concerned about potential delays or cancellations, you can use the following links to see if your route will be affected.

SNCF train status: Real-time train and route information

SNCF: Check my Booking:  Enter your origin and destination and then match up your departure time with the listed times that appear. Any cancellations or disruptions to that specific trip will be clearly visible.

Rome2rio customers who were not able to use their train tickets due to a cancelled service should email [email protected] to apply for a refund.

If you’re looking for alternative ways to get to your destination, we have some great recommendations here: French strikes 2019: What are my alternative transport options?
