Kotmale (Sinhala: කොත්මලේ; Tamil: கொத்மலை) is a village in Sri Lanka in Central Province. Kotmale forms part of a mountainous region that the Sinhalese kings left forested to generate sufficient rainfall for rice cultivation in the valleys below.
