Ambattur is a northwestern neighbourhood of Chennai, India. It is located in Ambattur taluk of the Chennai District, surrounded by Avadi, Anna Nagar, Padi, Mogappair, Kallikuppam, Surapet, Korattur, Ayappakkam, Athipet and Thiruverkadu. It covers an area of. The neighbourhood is served by Ambattur railway station of the Chennai Suburban Railway. Ambattur has its origins in a village of the same name which can be located at present as areas opposite to Ambattur telephone exchange. Ambattur was a village with large extents of agricultural farm lands irrigated by the once-sprawling Ambattur Lake. In 2011, the neighborhood had a population 466,205.

Queens Land is a theme park in Poonamallee, Chennai, India, covering 70 acres (28 hectares). It opened in August 2003.

Dash n Splash(Opens in a new window)

Dash N Splash was a water theme park located in Chennai, India. It was opened in 1995 and was the first exclusive water park in Chennai and South India. The idea of opening the water park was to get rid of the heat, sweat and dust of the city. The motto of the water park was "Refresh Yourself". Indian actor Suriya inaugurated this theme park. The park was shaded with coconut trees for refreshment and relaxation. Dash N Splash had a number of water reservoirs and slides for adults, kids & senior citizens. It was permanently closed down in 2012.

Kishkinta was a theme park located in Chennai, India. It was founded by Navodaya Appachan, the owner of Navodaya Studio. The park spread across 120 acres of vast area with a scenic landscape, bushes, fountains, decorations and designs. Along with these, the park had various entertainment places of Wave pools, water rides, roller coasters, toy trains etc. especially for children who visit for picnics. It was named after the fabled simian kingdom in the epic – Ramayana. As of 2016, it is currently closed.
