The London Eye, or the Millennium Wheel, is a cantilevered observation wheel on the South Bank of the River Thames in London. It is Europe's tallest cantilevered observation wheel, and the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom with over three million visitors annually. It has been featured numerous times in popular culture. The structure is 135 m tall and the wheel has a diameter of 120 m. When it opened to the public in 2000 it was the world's tallest Ferris wheel. Its height was surpassed by the 160 m Star of Nanchang in 2006, the 165 m Singapore Flyer in 2008, the 167 m High Roller (Las Vegas) in 2014, and the 250 m Ain Dubai in 2021. Supported by an A-frame on one side only, unlike these taller examples, the Eye is described by its operators as "the world's tallest cantilevered observation wheel". The Eye offered the highest public viewing point in London until it was superseded by the 245 m observation deck on the 72nd floor of The Shard in early 2013.

The Great Wheel, also known as the Gigantic Wheel, or Graydon Wheel, was built for the Empire of India Exhibition at Earls Court, London, in the United Kingdom. Construction began in March 1894 at the works of Maudslay, Sons and Field in Greenwich and it opened to the public on 17 July 1895. Modelled on the original Ferris Wheel which featured at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, US, it was 308 ft tall and 82.3 m in diameter. and weighed about 900 tons. It stayed in service until 1906, by which time its 40 cars (each with a capacity of 30 persons) had carried over 2.5 million passengers. It was demolished in 1907 following its last use with the Imperial Austrian Exhibition of 1906 as it was no longer profitable to run.

Chessington World of Adventures Resort is a 128 acre theme park, zoo and hotel complex in Chessington, Greater London, England, around 12 mi southwest of Central London. The complex originally opened as Chessington Zoo in 1931; the theme park aspect was developed by The Tussauds Group, debuting on 7 July 1987 as one of the first combined animal-amusement parks in the UK. The theme park, which features over 40 rides, is now owned by Merlin Entertainments, following its merger with The Tussauds Group in 2007. Under Merlin, Chessington has been increasingly developed into a resort and tourist destination, including two on-site hotels, swimming pools, a campground, spa and fitness facilities.
